Who We Are

Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic is a non-profit organization that provides low-cost spay/neuter services for cats & dogs throughout Connecticut and beyond. Our aim is to end pet overpopulation, and we have performed nearly 25,000 spay and neuter surgeries to date as we work to reach our goal. We are not a full-service veterinarian nor do we offer appointments for vaccines or other services, but we work hard to make sure that the health of any animal that is in our care is a top priority.

Our Mission

The Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic is the next phase of FeralCare's goal to end euthanasia of unwanted litters of companion cats and dogs. After six years of monthly spay/neuter clinics for feral and stray cats only, FeralCare's only way to make a huge difference in our area was to create a permanent weekday facility to perform affordable spay/neuter surgeries for the half million cats and dogs that reside just in Fairfield County, Connecticut.

It is our dedication and desire to help end the needless practice of euthanasia at animal-facilities and private shelters. It is our vision that this clinic will help bring awareness to the community while decreasing unwanted litters being born. Please click on the tabs, above, for more information on spay/neuter for your cat or dog and other services we have to offer for your pet.

Hours of Operation

Our clinic is currently open Monday through Thursday and performs roughly 30 cat and dog sterilizations per day, including vaccinations for rabies and distemper and other services. Our plan is to offer education to the community for responsible pet care, support for feral cat colonies, and work with area rescues to help the animals.
