The best part of adopting a pet is undoubtedly bringing them home and providing them with a lifetime of love. But with the excitement of meeting your new best friend, most don’t consider all the care that had to happen to prepare your pet for adoption, nor the care that is still to come.
Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic loves seeing happy and healthy animals. We are honored to be a silent partner in the adoption process. Like us, most animal rescues are non-profits, relying on donations or reduced-cost options for preparing animals for adoption. Most rescue organizations will have all pets spayed/neutered before they are placed in a home for many reasons, including reduced risk of future medical issues, and so they are less likely to roam and show aggression, just to name a few. Like rescued animals, those that remain homeless also deserve care. We do our part by providing affordable services to feral cat caregivers.
Since 2012, our clinic has performed over 50,000 spay/neuter surgeries. We invite you to join us in our mission to reduce overpopulation and needless euthanasia by being an advocate for spay/neuter. Please talk about it with your friends, family, and neighbors.
Since we believe all pets should have continued access to affordable and exceptional care, we are excited to announce that we will soon offer reduced-cost wellness care visits for cats and dogs. We recommend pets receive a yearly exam to assess their general health and get ahead of any potential medical issues.
Our reduced-cost services wouldn’t be possible without the kindness, generosity, and support from individual and corporate donors, grants, volunteers, and other fundraising efforts. As a silent but integral partner in many individuals’ and organizations’ rescue and adoption efforts, clinics are often overlooked for support.
